The
Secret Source
If I tell you, will you respect it? Will you believe? If
so, it will work for you because the only path to knowledge and self-development
is through an open mind. If you have already read my article on
finding an edge, you'll see
that this secret source will compliment those ideas. This source can be found in
your own unique mind. If you want success, follow successful people. Find out
how they think. Duplicate their philosophy, but be your own person.

Update
- The Secret Has Been Exposed !
I am shocked to learn that the secret is now a
movie and it is being mass marketed! These ideas have been generally off
limits and not taught in schools. Reason being is that it's just not scientific.
These "crazy" ideas started popping up long ago, and who knows how
many have used them to improve their lives. In 1889 a humble but successful man
named Prentice Mulford published a book entitled Thoughts are
Things. The
notions in this book led to a movement of like-minded thinkers. One was Florence
Scovel Shinn. Her little book, The Game of Life, copyright 1925, is
highly recommended for anyone wanting to develop and master their destiny.
Another classic book in this genre is Think
and Grow Rich. Download a copy at my site, http://www.ebook-browser.com.
Other
thinkers in this fashion are Jim Rohn and those promoting his philosophy,
such as Tony Robbins and Suze Orman.
What Is The Secret?
Reactions to The
Secret
Amazon.com's reader comments section for The Secret has collected
hundreds of comments on the book, overwhelmingly negative. Here is one:
I'm afraid that this book is going to create a group of people
who sit around all day wishing and trying to believe that something is true. Go
ahead and think happy thoughts, but don't believe for a second that it's going
to solve world hunger, or cure AIDS and cancer, or stop global warming from
happening. People will actually have to work to make those things happen.
My
Comment: There is a lot of fear and anger in the 2000 + comments and some seemed
justified,

)
but that does not invalidate the basic truth in the message. If the
author made money, it does not invalidate the message. If the author gives vain
examples, it does not weaken the strategies. Concerning the comment above, what
is "actual work?" Is mental work less work than physical work? Can't
there be an integration of mental and physical work to arrive at solutions?
Doesn't mental work (plans, goals, visualizations) precede physical work? Isn't
"believing" a prerequisite to trying? Jesus said "Oh ye of little
faith," because we have an amazing capacity to deny and resist what we feel
to be impossible. Who sets the rules for what is possible? Does science have all
the answers? Have you heard of miracles happening? As the comment above says,
many are "afraid" of trying to believe. It would be sad to discover
later that you had more control of your life than you thought!
